Adam Rylski was born in 1958 in Duszniki-Zdroj (Poland), graduated in 1982 from Lodz University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Lodz, Poland.
Actually senior lecturer in the Institute of Materials Engineering of LUT. His scientific and research activity is devoted to surface engineering, to physics and chemistry of surfaces, to coatings deposition by means of PVD methods as well as to aluminium alloy casting. He is the co-author of more than 40 papers, of 4 patents and of one more patent application which is at the present moment under patenting procedure.
He was a member of 7 teams performing investigations of seven grants from the Polish State Committee for Scientific Research in the years 1992-2006. He is co-author of 6 innovations which have been awarded with 21 gold, silver and bronze medals during International Inventions Fairs and Exhibitions in Brussels, Geneva, Nurembrg, Budapest, Jassy, Shanghai, Seoul, Gdansk and Katowice.
Adam Rylski is well known in different scientific and technical associations. Among others he is the Vice-President of the of Polish Inventors and Rationalizers Association and serves different duties in the Principal Technical Organization, in the Polish Engineers' & Technicians' Association and the President of the Polish Branch of International Student IAESTE Organization (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience).
His record includes the Knight's Cross "Merite de l'Invention" from the King of Belgium Albert Charles Baudouin as well as the Officer's and the Commander' ones and the Silver Cross of Merit Award from the Minister of Education of Poland.
